MOGADISHU( Halbeeg News)- A total of 185 non-commissioned candidates who completed adaptation training have taken oath in a ceremony held in Turkish military academy in Mogadishu.
After taking adaptation training and undergoing oath, the officers will start 2018-2019 training and education at Turksom military academy in Mogadishu.
During the training, the students took different lessons both in theoretical and practical aimed to boost their military capabilities, knowledge and skills.
“ In addition to the academic courses for the officer and NCO students, both theoretical and practical military training and lessons were given to increase military knowledge, skills and capabilities” a statement issued Turksom reads in part.
Somalia army chief, Indho-qarshe who attended the oath taking ceremony held in Turksom academy urged the officer to make good use of what they learnt during training in the service of their country.
Mr. Indho-qarshe underlined that the government will increase such training so as to build the capability of the army to take over the security of the country. .
In August this year, 47 non-commissioned officers completed one year education training at the academy managed by Turkey.The officers graduated as non-commissioned sergeants.
The military academy which is the academy outside Turkey was formed in an agreement between the governments of Somalia and Turkey. The academy was formed with the aim of improving the education, training, organization, logistics and military infrastructure of Somali armed forces.
