Reliable sources said unidentified warplanes carried out strikes in Saakow town of Middle Jubba region.
The attack which took place early hours of Wednesday reportedly targeted a boarding school along with the main hospital of the town which is said to have been destroyed.
The school is run by the Al-Shabab group which controls the area.

There is no immediate comment from Somali authorities
The incident comes barely four days after Ethiopia claimed to have killed 70 Al-Shabaab fighters in an airstrike in Somalia.
In its report, the Horn of Africa also claimed to have destroyed two vehicles packed with weapons.
