Members of Somali Lower House Chamber have filled motion against the speaker of the federal parliament, Mohamed Sheikh Osman.
Following deliberations in Somali capital, Mogadishu, the lawmakers formed caucus to implement the no-confidence motion against Jawari.
According to reliable document seen by Halbeeg News, the speaker of the house is accused of failure to form the parliamentary Service Commission.
“The speaker violated article 111 (d) of the provisional constitution of Somalia as well as point 7 of the regulations of the House,” reads the motion against Osman.
According to the article 111 (d), the house of the people should form parliamentary Service Commission which provide services and facilitate to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of federal Parliament.
The motion which aims at ousting the speaker is said to have been signed by at least 110 lawmakers.
According to sources, in the last 24 hours there had been ongoing lobbies carried out by the MPs to accelerate the motion.
The move comes just three days after the third session of the Federal Parliament was officially opened by Somali President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
Osman is serving the leadership of the Lower House for second term.
