A military court in Somali capital, Mogadishu has on Tuesday sentenced Al-shabaab convicted man to death for his involvement in Mogadishu truck bombing which claimed lives of more 500 people.
The court concluded the cases of five suspects who were facing charges in connection with the truck bombing in October last year.
Hassan Adan Isak who was accused of being solely responsible for the deadly blast was slapped with death penalty.
The court also sentenced Abdullahi Ibrahim Hassan Absuge in absentia to life in prison while third convict was given a sentence of three in military prison.
Muqtar Mohamud and Abdul Abdi Warsame who found of no guilty were acquitted by the court.
Mogadishu track bombing that occurred at Zoobe intersection was said to be the worst attack in the history.
No group has claimed the responsibility for the heinous attack, but Somali government blamed Al-shabaab for carrying out the attack
